Music Teachers’ Association of California

Welcome to Sacramento County Branch

The Sacramento County Branch, established in 1912 is a professional organization devoted to elevating the educational and teaching standards of its members and to providing superior music training for students. The mission of our organization is the ongoing pursuit of excellence in the music teaching profession, resulting in the instruction of music to a high degree of quality for all students who pursue this art.

This mission is accomplished through the standardization of high qualifications for initial membership in MTAC, the upholding of ethical standards during membership, and the pursuit of continuing education for all member teachers to enhance their teaching skills and fulfill their own lifelong quest for more musical knowledge.
