Memorial Scholarship Recital
Guidelines and Requirements

Registration is not yet open. Proof of age must be shown at check-in.
Entry Fee
See the current participant fee and payment instructions. Each student pays the participant fee, including each member of a group.
After submitting registration, participants are redirected to pay online. Other payment methods and payments from teachers are not accepted.
Eligibility
An MTAC Sacramento County teacher may enter a maximum of three entries per division.
Repertoire
Equivalent to CM Level 5 and up.
Bring one original music score with numbered measures for the evaluator.
The same composition may be used in only one of these recitals: Baroque Festival Honors Certificate Recipient or Memorial Scholarship.
Age Divisions and Time Limits
Division I: ages 11 and under; 8 minutes.
Division II: ages 12–14; 10 minutes.
Division III: ages 15–18; 10 minutes.
For chamber ensembles, the average age of the players must fall within the division age range.
Awards
Division I: $100.
Division II: $150.
Division III: $200.
Up to three monetary awards per division may be awarded at the adjudicator’s discretion. The adjudicator’s decision is final.
Past winners are not eligible to win again in the same division.
Event Format
Public recital format with one adjudicator evaluating.
Each recital lasts approximately one hour.

Dress Code
Follow the branch performance dress code. Students who do not adhere to the dress code will not be allowed to perform.
